  1. A lemming is a small RODENT of the family 
  2. Cricetidae, especially the genus Lemmus, 
  3. comprising four species worldwide in northern 
  4. latitudes. It is about 12cm (5inches) long, 
  5. with thick brownish fur, a small head, and a
